Canon Powershot A650IS + Sem 1 End Lor !!!

Finally the last of my burden has been loaded off today as I hand up my last assignment for the semester!!!

It was a great day spent in school also as we had our last Friday lunch session with Jiayi, Wanqi, Jackson and me. Hmm then I went for Dr Zhai's seminar, haha, the other guys were there too, looks like he is really Zai man!!!

Anyway, lately quite a number of happy things happened to me, of course there were some events which pissed me off as well.

Lets start with the first!!!

I got my hands on my new camera !!! Its Canon Powershot A650IS!!! Woa 12.1mp ok DUN PRAY PRAY I can focus on the smallest pimple on people faces. Then I went Sim Lim with Sky and I got myself a Water Proof Casing. That Seller was trying to bluff me lor!!!

I asked him how much, he tell me its 109 but since I student give me 97. YAR RITE!!! I got do research one ok, its only gg for 50 bucks online lor!!! but then he gave in so I bought it, really need it for ODAC trips and Fishing Trips. I strike a SUPER GOOD deal today. I won a Brand New Canon Camera Bag bidding on Ebay!!! Some more it comes with mini tripod and cleaning kit, all for 15 bucks !!! Wat a catch, the seller is a nice elderly gentleman.

So the above picture was the FIRST OFFICIAL GRP PICTURE taken with my camera!!! Zai!!!

PJC Orientation OG16 (Jawry) Gathering + Mun Yeng's Birthday

The saga continues as JunJie tries his luck with Death.

Sunday was spent out with my PJC Orientation Group 2004 (Jawry) at the Minds Cafe, to celebrate Mun Yeng's Birthday at the same time. Wah Zai lar after how many years we actually still keep in contact .... Buay Pai !!! There was Hana, Joyce, Adrian, Wai Kin, Mun Yeng and Me.

Thinking back to the days, when I was still a Hyper-Active JC2 orientation leader, a sense of old age suddenly came over me haha. It was really my most memorable experience then, to take 40 new Pioneers with my Loc-Cok English and Jokes. But I really enjoyed it so much then, cheering and shouting till my voice gone.

Anyway the Princess today was Mun Yeng, who celebrates her 21st birthday. It was held at the Minds Cafe, where her BF gave her a surprise by booking the whole place !!! We played alot of toopid toopid games like Dino Bones, Banana Slap etc ... and I did alot of lame things lar ...

Haha of course we took a few pics !!! Too bad my camera is on service. But the new camera that I'm getting will be mine soon!!!

Hmm the day ended early around 1630, and I went home to prepare to study.....


End up I'm blogging now and watching drama with my family.....

ODAC Geek Nite '07

Die Die Die......

With less than a month to exams which I have totally no idea of, I am still enjoying myself out of a ODAC Geek Nite event held on a fri nite.

Haha heard that last year was Student Nite, so this year is Geek Nite ....... wah everytime got theme one sia. At first I tot that everyone is gonna be super GeEk lor!!! Then when I reach I realise some just Ba Long Long come leh, wah I took a look at myself in the mirror..... oh gosh wat a toot!!!

Other than spoiling my image to all the potential ladies at the nite, I still have to do charade and do a cat walk for the Geek and Geektress of the nite......wah biang.....haha but I am quite happy that I can actually create such a image of myself!!!

Southern Island Flight BBQ '07 + U Weekly Photo !!!

Well last Friday after school I went to a BBQ held at East Coast Park.

It was a BBQ organized by one of my colleague in the SI flight, held as a gathering for the past Pawai Rangers and also as a farewell party to our Officer in Charge of our flight. He will be posted out of the Squadron to undergo additional training. It was sad cos he has been the OC of Pawai for a long time and all of our past colleagues know him well.

But the BBQ was another touching experience for me.

It is nearing the 1 yr anniversary of my ORD and my last step on Pawai, and so much has happened during this period. I was taken out of my past happiness in a short period of time and left my colleagues whom I worked day and night with.

Seeing them come together again causes an emotion surge in me. I dunno what causes, or what feeling that is.

Maybe its the sudden physical presence of frens whom I know, superiors such as Mr Lim or OC, or just the sea breeze blowing gently towards us .... it was as if the lost feelings were all coming back.

It was a session of chats and laughters as I talk to my colleagues of the latest happenings in pawai, like how many pups Nicky and Nicole gave birth to, the renovation of Pawai facilities, and how Mr Lim and the rest are doing in their current work etc etc.

I was lazily flipping through the U weekly~~~when I realise the picture that I send got selected and was on Page 76 !!! Haha its just one of the toopid pics I took in Datuk. Hope that it will be selected to win the first prize !!!

BTW my dear Canon Powershot A80 finally lost to old age and has been sent for a second servicing. The staff advice me to trade in to get a better camera given its condition. Hmm so I tot thats a better outcome. Well the camera that has went through so much memories with me...hope that it will reincarnate to be a newer model !!

Pearl's Hill Primary School BBQ 07

Huh ???!!! What Primary School? Zhun Bo ???!!!

That shd be the question most ppl ask when I told them this.

Haha Yar Yar, today I just organised a BBQ for my Primary School frens. It can be considered as a continued episode from last yr chalet. Well the planning phrase was done by me cos most of them are busy with school or army, and I guess working on it solo makes decisions faster. The date was postphoned for 3 weeks thou, and venue changed 3 times as well. Haha well after considering all possible outcomes with respect to interaction, photo taking, activity, BBQ is the best among them (or what I thought and decide anyway) HAHA.

Anyway, the day began with me pushing my Mom's NTUC trolley to my Parents stall. The bad part was that countless aunties and uncles looked at me and my trolley like aliens. THANKS.

Hmm so I worked at my Parents stall before 1pm when I meet Seck Wang and Swee Boon at Redhill MRT with my Red Trolley. Haha then we took MRT to Bedok then met Tian Jin. Hey thats when we formed the Advance Party and went on a shopping to buy the stuff for the BBQ. It was quite fun, cos we were really pondering how many ppl will come, whether they will eat, and budget was a real consideration. After buying we took cab HAHA (included in Transport Fee) to East Coast Part BBQ Pit 52. Wah that place rocks man, close to a break water, toilet, and overlooking at the Bedok Jetty.

Haha after that it was just 4 guys sitting around sipping Herbal Tea, listening to music, looking at nearby pretty gals, and enjoying the breeze. It was only until 1730 when the first girl came, and thats Serene who took a 30 min walk from Mac, haha. Woa she looked better than last yr again, how come pri sch that time I did not realize ??? Girls change at 18, how true.

First comes before second, Han Lei and SiJia came shortly and joined us.Han Lei was super onz u know cos she agreed to come readily, and she brought along Si Jia (Wah I invite her I also scared). I was surprised she came, and it turns out that she is not that ICY after all.

Ailing and Soo Chin appear next and more and more ppl appear. Xiu Yun, Aihua, Jenny, Ying Ying, Ting Ting, Correen. Boon How, BoonKeat, Yap Heng also came shortly after. Well the BBQ started at 6pm......haha then Tio shoot by the girls of the quantity and types of food that we bought. Its all Jenny's and Ailing's fault !!! I told them to come along cos I need gals to supervise but they Dua me. Not bad wat got chicken, hot dogs, satay, crabsticks haha.

Wa the alcohol was insufficient cos I nv expect girls like to drink nowadays. My one litre of Vodka was gone in hrs. I should have brought red wine instead I have so many bottles from gifts, they can drink it like soft drinks man. Thanks to Xiu Yun who drives and topped up the drinks for us.

Hmm the atmosphere wasnt that silent since somehow everyone seems to be part of a conversation. Talking to primary school frens, sipping Jasmine Tea Vodka, enjoying the night sea and mild breeze somehow struck a cord in me, and I composed a Chinese sentence.

友情此似陈年酿，一滴浓意溢心头

Since its composed by a Noob like me, so here's the thing I want to say. Can suggest a better version to me, I want to improve.

The friendship at this moment is like a a bottle of vintage wine, just tasting a drop of it is enough bring out its rich flavour to its taster.

It was more photo taking after eating and I grabbed the chance to take pics with ppl I nv see that often. Haha grp pic is the best lar. Laughter and Chatting came to a halt at 2300. When we pack up, wrapped up, and bid farewell till the next gathering. Thanks Xiu Yun again I would be a KuKu if she has not drove me back to Clementi.

Hmm I enjoyed the night, though some minor details does irritates my mood. No hard feelings but blogging is to voice out my thoughts.

Do Not Read On If U Might Hold It Against Me.

It was rather Sian that some ppl cancel with me at the last moment... with a sms, Not Even a Call!!! Wah Lao!!!. And some nv event bother to sms or call to say that they are not coming or whatever so to be late, Organizer not easy job lor !!! I have to sms like Free to get response!!! Hmm and that stupid weather today makes me worst with Migrain.....argh!!!.... I got so sian that I tot to myself is it worth having a gathering when I'm alr so busy with assignments and work.

Well but then its not the first time I had such a situation. Keeping cool and level headed is a big asset. Haha rather its the support I have from ppl like Seck Wang, Tian Jin, Swee Boon who readily helped me out. Supportive turning up with Serene, Soo Chin, Han Lei, Si Jia also keeps the mood up.

Self Reflection (Dun Read if u dun like)

One of the thing I'm rather interested on is whether everyone did gets in the mood. I hope those who did not stayed throughout the Primary School Era do enjoy themselves. I dun like ppl being left out, cos I always feels that way myself in a new grp of frens.

I also feel bad (seriously) that I made too many decisions myself when it shd be a grp effort, but somehow I feel that it wun work out and it will be more efficient myself. Too self centered again

Looks like it reflects the Lone Ranger personality in me. I want to change that....sian....ODAC needs group work and I want myself to be a good grp member. Hmm today I give up my ODAC eating session cos of Gathering, so PaiSeh.

Anyway, I enjoyed the company very much tonight. Haha the usual question of "When is the next Gathering???" Hmm... good question. Its a year and 3 mths since the last gathering, so I wonder when is the next also. Seck Wang 2IC of his BMT company leh~~~so~~~heh heh*

ODAC Adventure 3 : Datuk Recess Trip

Haha well the recess break is over, but the recent ODAC recess trip marks another adventurous memory in me.

The Recess Trip to Datuk Hill in Malacca is a 3 day trekking trip with the F.O.O.T Comm that I'm in, together with the Trek Comm in ODAC. But seriously lar.....wat in the world am I doing in a 3 day trip when I still have so many assignments to chiong.....die

Geez~~~first day of the trip was a interesting Train to Tampin from Johore Train Terminal. Wah this is the second time I took a ride on the Train. Well it was some sleeping time and MUGGING time since Qing Yong is so onz to do his physics.

We reached Tampin Train Station @ 1330. Then took cab to the foot of Datuk Hill. The trek begins at 1500 and then its a endurance game. Haha because it rained before the trek, the hills are wet and slippery. But the main problem are the LeEcHes !!! oh my god I din know these creepy creatures are so darn flexible. First they will attach themselves to ur sandals or shoes, then they will creep up to a open flesh and plant their suckers on ur flesh!!! Woa if they are pulled out or crushed, blood will not stop easily due to their sucker teethes stuck to the skin.

And the top fret goes to Jingchu with all his toes bitten. His shoes too many holes alr.

I must say the process was really hag. Even I was surprised at the difficulty cos I feel shag when I shd not (haha I think I'm fit) Maybe cos I have 3 X 1.5L of water, Clothes, 5 burner, and raw rations, plus misc stuff like field chair. I was so shag man.....but the destination was all well worth it.


We reached the top around 1815. There we quickly pitch our tents and proceed to climb to the summit of Mt. Datuk.

~~~Hweeeee~~~its really a fantastic sight !!! Clouds floats lazily across the nearby hills, luscious green forest spread evenly around, and cool air breezes thru my face. It was lots of photo taking since ODAC is famous for it anyway. Haha. The moon was Super Bright cos its just one day after lantern Festival. Wah Mike took me to a corner of the summit and showed me a legendary Foot Print. I nearly got scared out of my wits when I saw how dangerous the cliff was below me.....



After all the hassle, I took some time to stand up at a corner looking down at the land and suddenly, a state of mind overwhelms me.

My Chinese Lit teacher has described to me of the various Chinese Poems and Literature which reflects Man's desire to goes after Happiness of the mind for the whole of their life.

How true.

A short climb with a aim of the magnificent view of the vast land, while a lifetime with a aim for a Happiness of mind. It is a state of mind, not measured by material wealth, but how ur heart is touched and how the soul has found satisfaction.

Anyway after some solo thoughts its back to the group activity where we cook our dinner. I bet no one, not even I, would have ever thought of a steamboat in the wild, and that was just what we did. Siao leh, but cool !!! After dinner we played Lantern and Sparkles and ate Moon Cakes !!! Douglas rocks with his brillant box of Moon Cakes, and Jasmine that Greedy finished all the remainder.

2nd day came and the downhill trek began at 0930. It was another tiring way down but there was no leech attack since it did not rain. Haha when we reached Datuk Town we had a Pizza Feast!!!

Waking up my Idea, I promise

Oh my~~~I cant believe how cock I was today man......

Today started out as a fun day with the "ODAC FAMILY DAY", filled with dunking ppl into the sea and cool inter-sub-comm games. Yea F.O.O.T comm rocks!!! I must say dunking Aunty Weiling into the sea really tested all our arm strength as she struggled like a croc doing the death roll, it was super, yes I mean super powerful. After that it was BBQ prepared by our comm and it was merry and cooking.

What was hanging on my mind for the BBQ is Sammy's birthday party that is happening at the same time. Seriously I have not a clue when the Family Day ends and I planned to leave early. But oh man our Foot comm was too enthusiastic alr lor and I couldnt bear to leave.

Yes thats the start of the whole tragedy of the night.

So I called Lia and told her about my situation and hope that I do not need to rush to Sammy's birthday. She was QUITE disappointed lar but she said it was ok. Then it was my turn to have my conscience pricked.

I tot "Hey Mr Lai, u promised ur frens to go rite, then now u wanna chao geng and dun go, wats this man?

So I told my Squrriel Boss that I need to go......wah lao but I was psycho to the fact that all the comm members are together and it isnt very good to leave.

By then my mind was alr indecisive alr lor......wah lao then I started to think deeply, in a Chinese Philosophy Manner. "A promise is a promise, I have to keep to it, its my own fault that I cannot balanced it, but I cannot make it worst."

Ok so the decision was made and I made a call to Lia, Bye to all and off I Chiong to Pasir Ris to go to the "East Coast Island Resort Chalet Room Q09". I ran all the way to the bus stop, take bus, take MRT, and reached Pasir Ris in 45 mins.

Taking Taxi was the natural choice cos I have NO IDEA where in the world that chalet is.

"Uncle, I want to go to Pasir Ris East Coast Island Resort Chalet" I said. "Xiao Di, Thats in east coast leh, Pasir Ris only have downtown east" It was at that point where memorise of my stupid sister telling me that east coast island resort chalet is in Pasir Ris, and Lia msg about Pasir Ris came into mind. I was wrong, that Chalet is in EAST COAST PARK ITSELF.

Wat a GOON! thats wat Renu msg me. Yea man I also Sian diao X10. It was another 45 min before I reached to the chalet BACK at east coast. Man I tell you I really let Lia and Des down too much. But better late than never rite?

Well upon home, its reflection time again. I realize this is not the only time I have planned things too close to each other. Not keeping to the planned schedule was a major problem for me, and the indecisive manner which I drop some events. WHITE LIES was my best tool and frens I'm sorry to say I have done it alot of times which u all dunno (can come ask me).

Seriously I need to wake up my idea to make good use of my planning and promises. Its difficult to gain back trust of frens (especially gals) once you have break them. Once again, regret is not the moral here so I promise not to do it again.

Tuas South Avenue Expedition 3 : 03A01

This is a 1 times super UNREALISTIC trip by 03A01 peepz and we outdone ourselves again

Persuaded by my tock cock description of Tuas South Avenue Fishing trip, Sky, Meihui and me came out with a super outdoor adventure proposal on a night supper trip one night.


So wat in the world are we doing there??? Yes we are playing MahJong!!! Sounds crazy, but the plan was carried out nevertheless and it was on a Saturday morning (25th Aug 2007)

Meet time was 0900 at my house, where Sky will help me transport the barang barang with his borrowed Van. Meihui and Eileen Zhang was late lar! so we met them at Jurong Point@1000. It was followed by a fast drive which took bt 20 mins.

Haha then the tough part came. First designated area was not favorable as there was no shelter and beach. We moved to second area where there is a beach and a trek of 15mins nearly took the living daylights out of Sky, Meihui and Eileen.

We finally set our base camp with Sky-constructed-shelter and start with our MahJong!!! Eventually I won the most today lar haha. We also brought Mobile Lunch of Sushi, Mayo Tuna and bread and 'Maria' help us to make them.

After a round of MahJong, we went to explore the dreamlike beach that I told them about.

The tide has retreated and the secondary beach that I told them surfaced. We waddled across and took pictures while enjoying some of the wonders of nature that are disappearing from Singapore. Sian I lost my slipper to the sand when I tried to walk in the water!!! There were lots of small little fishes around the rocks and we all tried to catch them, how cock!

There were some drizzle today, but the weather was good overall.

We pack up the area, did AREA CLEANING, around 5pm b4 making our way back. I hope that ppl do not little the nature, and I always do my part by cleaning up my own and other rubbish that I see when I go for trips.

Haha I bet my Sky, Meihui and Eileen is gonna have Sun Burn lor. Hope they enjoy and go for other adventure trips with me again.

NTU ODAC Firelight '07

This is Unrealistic.

2 weeks into official school term, and here I am at Pasir Ris MRT on a Saturday morning (18Aug), waiting to go for ODAC 'Firelight' leisure camping trip. Notes and tutorial nv leaves my mind and I wonder why am I there in the first place. Yes its the desire for adventure!!!

This is the first time I go Ubin thru the civillian channel, which is by taking the 2 dollar bum boat ride at Changi Terminal. I went OBS in Ubin b4, but that one was school base and it wasnt really the 'real' Ubin.

It is also a exploration plus scouting trip, for future chalet and fishing trips that I might organise next time.

Upon reaching Ubin,came sight of pure 'Kampong-ness'. I felt like I was in Malaysia where cats and dogs run wild, with shophouses filling the streets. It was exciting to see lots of ppl cycling with rods attached to their back, its a Angler's instinct to ponder where where is the fishing spot around the area.

First activity, wat else, it was ice-breakers with name games and the usual 'tuki tuki game'. Glad to know some new ppl in the grp. Then it was the trek to the highest peak of Ubin ........ wah this is ultimate cos I din know Singapore has such a nice place

It was at a cliff looking over Singapore and Ubin with a grand silent quarry below us. A drizzle and dark clouds made the scenery more dreamlike.

After that, we set off to the campsite where we set up tents, have BBQ, and more grp games.

It was the night walk which was the hightlight of the trip. Each of us was paired up with a opposite gender partner, and we had to walk into a night trail lited by light sticks SUPER far apart. Haha my partner was a cheerful plus chatty girl so it was enjoyable to walk with her.

From the start, we were both chatting bt sch and stuff since it was quite walkable. However as we go deeper into the trail, the roads get muddy and paddles of water came into our way. "Piak!" and we both step into a pool of muddy water and we have to fall into each other's support. Haha well well from then on we have to come closer, holding on to each other's shoulders as we made our way thru the rest of the trail. Quite nice wor!

Sunday came and there was a mini trail along Chek Jawa Marshland.Lots of Globlins where making marshmallow there and it was so farny (joking la ! haha) There are lots of wild life and creatures there lor not bad not bad.

Hope to bring my frens such as Sky, Mh, Ri Dong to save them from rotting at home, there next time. Cheers
