6th Trip Catch Report @ Jurong Lake

Wow finally man guys, the first biggie of my own at the Jurong Lake

Weather today was a fantastic one, with strong winds and cloudy sky. Alas, strong wind also causes low bite rate as fishes get scared on the surface. Sky joined me for bt an hr today b4 going off for his dinner, just talk some cock with him.

Anyway, today Operation is codenamed "Prawn Ops". Since I brought some prawns from my dad's stall which he used to make Prawn Dumplings. The rig (type of hook) used was tampan hook, 3 on the leader line. So I attached the small prawns to my hooks b4 I cast it out. As usual, fishing for me is basically relaxing business, so I walk around and talk cock abit with my frens. Sky suddenly called me over to tell me that my rod is moving. I tot he noob, tot the wind is bite. I retrieve the line anyway. As it comes closer, I realise the pull is getting harder and some thing is trying to swim away!!!

My reel started screaming slowly and I can see the fish swimming on the surface. Cant hurry to get it up since my line and hook are so small and thin. So I just let it swim swim abit till it is tired and got it up. Wow it was big man to my surprize. As a nice guy, Pictures were taken immediately b4 I realise the biggie back to its home.

After that was nothing much as the winds get stronger. So just talk with some uncle and malay kaki b4 riding home in a light mood. Hope the fish gives me some good luck for the week.

Nearest Point

Well, I have just worsen my fondness for Pawai after ORD for close to 3 mths.

Last night, I was so bored since I slept in the afternoon with crazy wind and rain fighting it out of my HDB flat. So, I went for a night cycling trip at 2120hrs, after losing 2 rounds of DOTA online.

I went West Coast, cos I'm interested to know whether the fences have been removed so I can enjoy some sea breeze. Nah, they are still drilling at the beach when I went, and I cant even see the beach and sea. I cycle on, and before long I reached a familiar place, West Coast Ferry Terminal.

Yes, that is the place where I have always go everyweek while I was still in the Air Force, to go or down shift from Pawai. I rode in, and reaches the fence of the ferry terminal. And I realise, that is the NEAREST POINT I can ever get to Pawai, as I cant take a ferry or swim to Pawai which is 8km away.

That SUX. The weather made my mood goes even lower with its thunder and cloudy sky. I wonder how is it on Pawai.......Sian call Xin Zhong on his phone and chatted for a while before riding off....further from the NEAREST POINT so called......


Sunday :

Well since saturday was raining, fishing has to be push to be done on Sunday. THe bike trip took me lesser time, 30 mins and I reached Jurong Lake. Sway Kia, just when I park my bike it started raining.......

No choice but to take shelter at a nearby stand. Some other Anglers were there too. There were a young boy and her sister and wat they did was hilarious man. The boy took the umbralla and walk in the rain while his cute young sister kept calling him back to take her with him, and nearly broke to a cry. Her frens were teasing her and pretended to use a wallet as a camera to take a picture of her impending cry. By the way one of their frens is a hot young gal in hot pants, haha. (I dunno who those ppl are man, I heard them calling her MOM, but she looks so darn young with another guy......cant be rite)

Ok Rain's OVER (not the Korean Rain k) so lets start the action. I'm sorry to say that all my earthworms have die due to the strong heat which cooks them in the taboware. So I guess the punishment is that I dun even get a single nibble for the afternoon. But the fun part was the second round of the rain, and it was so heavy man! Heng I got my raincoat, so I just enjoyed the rain without looking for a shelter.

So Sunday is over, looking forward to Monday to see my motivation in company(The gal I mentioned to in previous post) Wonder wat she will wear to work~~~hehe

Finally Spoken

Yea man I finally spoke to her.

Who is her? Well she's one of the lady working at my current company. Been noticing her for quite a while, probably due due her resembrance to a gal who i admire. It was also her babbly expression and conversation with her fellow colleagues which caught my attention.

Din dare or have the chance to have a converstaion with her due to colleagues around. Only managed to say hi or a few sentence while we walk down the stairs or met on the bus. I dun wanna regret it when I leave the company without talking to her man.

So the chance finally came today.

She did not alight at her usual stop at lakeside, and I overhear her saying bt IMM with my supervisor who is 2 seats away from me. So since I'm gg Clementi, I tot might as well alight at Jurong East and walk her to IMM, haha dinner with my parents as excuse.

So she did alight at IMM, and followed by me. It was a spontaneous thing, I started talking to her and the conversation started. What I wanted to said to her was already preplanned, like a proper introduction, where she came from, and how's job.

It all went well, till I asked her what she is gg IMM for.

"Oh I'm gg to meet my BF for dinner".She said.

Wah.......ok lar, it din not surprised me that much, I mean she is a nice gal for grab. But it does diminished some of my hopes of knowing her more. Haha anyway, I hope I can talk to her more often, cos I like this type of gal with wonderful character. BF doesn't mean husband rite? haha

Catch Report 2 @ Jurong Lake

Well after last week successful first blood at Jurong lake, it was time I bring my fren and my bro along for some fun. Bait used were live earthworms, which I caught during raining at the Jurong East national library where big fat long eathworm were pratically everywhere after the rain floods then out. Those 2 scary cats dun dare to hook earthworms so I had to do the dirty job.

Before we even got started, some unexpected event happened. The bloody wind suddenly blew and blew one of our rods into the lake. That immediately pump blood into my brain and body. Without thinking much I climbed over the railing, holding on to it like a chin-up bar, I frantically tried to use my toes to get hold of the rod. The first try failed, and I had to climb up in case I cannot hold on. Not giving up, I climbed back again, this time getting the rod and passed it to my bro. But heck , I have no energy to climb up man, just like doing the the last chin-up and hloding on to the bar. Sky was holding my hand, and it looked kind of stupid lar I cant climb up. Just when I tot I will go swim with the fishes, I remembered my obstacle course in Army. Swinged my legs to the side, I manage to get them up, and sky pulled me up. I was exhausted, and my knees were bruised and cut. Haha but it was funny man!

Ok 3 hrs of waiting, 3 rods, 2 earthworms on each rod. The moment came and it hit my rod, but I was away so my bro got hold of it and started reeling in. It was heavy, and he could not land it on the jetty. So I helped and out came a long fat fish. I have no idea wat fish it is, but its an edible fish. Being nice guys we released it after some photo taking.


Sky darling tried some last minute desperation artificial lures at the baby tomans, but sorry times up at 1840, better luck next time!

3 Trips , 1st Kill

Just wanna share my first catch at Jurong Lake Reservoir after 3 trips there. I used bread this time round and I got a bite and catch! It was a real nice day, slight drizzle followed by a full rainbow, so peaceful sitting at the jetty and enjoying everything.

Add On : Due to overwhelming response by my readers (those 3 whu tagged). I have decided to add on to this post. The rainbow I saw that day was a FULL RAINBOW with another rainbow above it, and it was reported in the news as the rainbow for the yr sinc eit was on 1st Jan 2007. Ok lar go there run, get a bike leh XZ we go cycle to Sentosa. And there is no killing, its sport fishing. Catch, Photo, Release, although there's some lips blood thou, haha.
