Dreams

Well these few days has seen wonderful weather at the Western part of Singapore, nice white clouds and clear blue skies in the morning, and roaring thunderstorm in the afternoon. These are just perfect weathers to take a nap in the midst of the roaring thunderstorm, or just relaxing at one corner at the Jurong Regonal Library while observing the changes in the sky.

Haha some of the dreams I have these few days are rather real, in a sense that my mind did not detect any discrepency that would deem it as a dream. Today I had a dream about my Pawai days. Since today is Sunday, I had a dream in which I remind myself that I'll be booking in tonite, and dun sleep too much. I even wanted to msg Xin Zhong to join me since I tot he will be going camp tml. Oh my god event throught the semi concious mind state before waking up, I still did not think that the dream was..........a dream.

Well that finally rings a bell into my next aim and dream in life. If I ever get rich or a chance, I'm gonna build a house on a hill tall enough that all directions can be seen, so that I can see the Sunrise and Sunset. Will build a tower with glass planes on the top of my house, and double blast Air-Con so that I will feel cool even when the weather is hot and I'm relaxing in the tower with my radio, books and tibits. The sea and beaches will be just a few mins walk, and a personal wooden jetty for me to fish on. Yes and I certainly wun be the only one that enjoy these, like during Pawai days. My frens and family will join me when the dream is fulfilled.

Anyway, the annual vacation with my family will commence in a few days tiime, from 23rd of Nov till 3rd of Dec, will be going Taiwan and Hong Kong during these few days. Expect my post and pics to be up, and sourvenirs? Haha happy days everyone

Fishing Spot 3 : Bedok Jetty [BJT]

Another fishing trip I went with my brother, this time round to Bedok Jetty which is at East Coast.

Woke up early at 0700, prepare our stuff of drinks and our gears. Set off by taking MRT to Bugis first. Haha I got a nice deal where I acquire a 512mb of camera memory card for just s$15 bucks, oh my thats doubling my current card, no fret for Taiwan Trip liao.

Well we carry on our MRT ride to Bedok, alight to take 401 as instructed by streetdirectory, wah but I asked the station master, and 401 only operates on weekends.......thanks. Well we found an alternative, bus 31, and took the bus by instinct. Wah.....stopped at near the chalet area and walk like crazy for dunno how long till we reach Bedok Jetty.

Of course when we reach we immediately find a nice spot and set our gears. First cast using my newly tied triple hook using dead prawns. My bro wanted to get bait fish by using Tamban hooks first. He tried for quite a while till he got fed up, and was thinking whether to buy some from tackle shop. Luckily got one uncle nearby asked us whether we wan to buy the Tamban hooks, and help us get it from some home make seller nearby. Cool! Well as my brother does his Tamban Jigging, I got my first catch.

Puffer! Oh my god hear from lots of ppl of this darn fish........make super lots of noise with its teeth man.

Well lots of Tamban, my bro got sick of catching them and I start my own Tamban fishing. Took quite a while before I finally hooked up some and use them as baitfish too.

Oh yes..........and the Thunderstorm that was predicted on weather forecast happened......wah piang super heavy rain we can see it approaching from one side.....it was just trying to blow the jetty apart man, heng got bring raincoat and umbrella.

Lunch time break, I went to the East Coast Hawker Centre to Ta Bao for my bro and myself. Settle for Nasi Lemak. Wah everything there super ex lor haha, and eating the fish in the Nasi Lemak makes me wonder if those fishes are from the Malay Couple who was Tampan fishing in the morning......haha.

Fishing continues into the afternoon.....the Jetty getting lots of ppl from skaters and bikers. Wah I must realli point out that there are lots of pretty gals man. Ok lar for my bro he finally caught something of acceptable size thou not edible......an Eel!!!

Haha by then it was already quite late, so after a last few cast we pack up and took like an hour and a half to get home......sian haha but good day spent.Anyone wanna join next time?

Fishing Spot 2 : Labrado Jetty [Tampan Frezy]

Well 3rd day after ORD, and off I went to fish with my bro again, this time round to Labrador Jetty near Habour front.

Well today we really went all out, woke up at 0700 hrs, take a bus to Harbourfront b4 taking Bus 93 and walking a long route to Labrador Jetty. Initially I thot that there'll be lots of Fishing Khaki, surprizingly there was relatively few. So we set up and first cast at 0900 hrs.

Cant believe that the Waiting has began again. Cast and cast, but there was no pull and the bait is eaten, what ate it??? After a few hrs of waiting in the sun both my bro and I also sian, so just cast and wait ba. I kaypo kaypo went to see how's the other Anglers doing. They are doing Tampan fishing (small size fish) while waiting for big bite with their other rods. I asked a uncle bout how he does that, and he helpfully explained to me how it can be done, and gave me a bag full of Tampans as bait. Cool! adding to that he even gave a rig he made himself to my bro since he is gg off.

My bro tried, wa........at the end of the day he rig up 35 Tampan fish altogether. Buay Pai sia, really Tampan frenzy lar some more he also got a mini Queenie from rigging. Me jialuck lar, only got a pathetic Puffer Fish after all that waiting. Anway, the trip wasnt wasted, cos I have a big bite but I lost it. Also, today was a superb raining day, rained on and off for the whole afternoon. It even reached to a point where we sudder from the cold and all wet. The weather, clouds, ships were all great, reminds me of my wonderful days on Pawai. Haha should visit Labrador Park someday k its really a wonderful place.

We end game at 1800 hrs, by that time we are starving man, only ate a sandwich each for breakfast and biscuit, feels like Army. Haha so when we got home its food frenzy for ourselves.

Fishing Spot 1 : Macritchie Reservoir

Haha well since I'm out of Pawai, so I guess I should be looking for new fishing spots to cure my "Hand Itchiness" towards fishing. So Macritchie Reservoir will be my first stop.

Woke up at 0800 hrs, ponder for a while on my bed whether fishing will be feasible since I'll be taking my Final Theory Test in the afternoon. That ponder brings me to 0830 hrs, when my brother woke up too, and he initiated to go. Heck, go lar go.

We reached there at 1000 hrs sharp after breakfast and bus ride. I got the location of the rarely known Macritchie fishing spot from online, cool. The wait starts, we cast, we reel, we cast, we reel.

Yes all that continues all the way till 1300hrs, drizzling on and off along the way. NO CATCH...
Too bad lar, I realise that just next to the fishing spots are Kayakers Kayaking, scared all the fish lar. Some more I'm still new to lure fishing, and my brother is first day of fishing, realli "snoob man" [Si Bei Noob]

Anyway, it was a lesson for my brother how to cast and reel, and the scenery at Macritchie Reservoir is really great I must say.

Oh yes, I PASSED MY FINAL THEORY TEST.

ORD lor !!!

Thou as lazy as I am today, I still have to write this post on this special day,

6th of November 2006.

Why so?

Cos its the day I ORD lor !!!

The day begins as I wake up at 8am, woken by a SMS from my ex-colleague Kian Yong, who wishes me a happy ORD, and welcome me to a new lease of life. Haha I'm so happy that he remembered my ORD date, totally appreciated it. Another ring from my phone ring, a msg from me one year ago, while I was slacking at RSO tower. The msg reminds me of the wonderful time I had spent on Pawai, and to work hard for the days to come. Hmm a sense of travelling thru time sudden surges onto me. Thou today was my ORD date, my status was on leave. SO , I take my own sweet time to bathe and change to my nice nice No.4 Uniform, had a breakfast at Mac, b4 taking some more sweet time to camp.

Well kindaf interesting as I reached camp, cos Mr Lim wasn't here today. I was quite surprized, as I would like to bid farewell to him, but nvm, it also gave me a chance to interact more freely with my colleagues whom I'll be seeing less from today onwards. Had lunch with XZ and gang, b4 waiting for the holy hour of 4pm to come to collect my Pink IC.

The moment arrived.

Lamo me always have weird ideas. First I change into Civilian Clothes, to symbolise that when I get out of camp I'll be a civilian. Also, I tied my boots together, and prepared to throw them away together at the camp rubbish dump.

Why boots? Cos the pair of boots are the boots I have worn since BMT, thru SISPEC, FDS and until current. They are in bad shapes as holes has all appeared and water gets in.The soles have also worn out after all the road marches and chiong sua.. However, I still wears them till the day I ORD to remember all the different places I have been to in my Army days. Throwing them away is my final appreciation to them, as they have served me well, thru rain, sun and sweat.

And the PINK IC !!! I took it over from the lady, and took a look at the card which I have not seen for 1 yr and 10 mths. I Bid farewell to my colleagues in camp, took a final look at the office I have spent so long working in. It was drizzling when I walked out of camp, creating a interesting feel for my ORD. It was not Happiness or Sadness, but rather a wonderful farewell to a Chapter of My Life.

Outstanding, 3SG LAI

Happy Birthday Sky!!!

Happy Birthday Sky !!!

Haha will like to dedicate today's blog post to you, after spending a memorable not-so-wonderful-day with you at Jurong Point with MeiHui.

Well it was really nice to meet you and MeiHui for lunch dispite my cold which is making my whole body ache and feeling so "nua", and also teaching me how to order SubWay to eat. Well Ulu me really nv eat SubWay b4 so today was quite an eye opener for me.

Sky and me did some real madness today at Jurong Point Arcade, playing the PSP and Handphone machine game. Haha it really got us hooked and we dump in 46 bucks just to try to win one of those. Sian well too bad we ended up in the wrong scenarior and we lost it all.

Haha well there is a lesson learnt thou, the game has a bit of gambling factor in it as we thought it'll only let its player win after collecting a certain amount of money. We initially wanted to stop after first round, but Heck!, lets dump it all man. The loss was quite terrible, but well at least we fulfilled the theory of gambling, that is "Win all, or Lose all". Its true, I mean it'll be a different story if we won, rite mate? haha
